The UFC has just revealed the cast for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. The series will feature 28 fighters competing for 14 final spots in the house. It is rumoured that there will be a new format, but no word as yet as to what the changes will be.
Australia will be represented by MMA standout Kyle Noke from Mooloolaba, Queensland. Kyle was the former bodyguard of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. He currently trains with Greg Jackson's camp in New Mexico, and has a previous victory over George Sotiropoulos.
The show will feature Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddel as the team coaches, who will then face each other after the show's completion. The new season premieres on the 31st of March.
UFC has announced its coaches for Season 8 of the Ultimate Fighter, beginning September 17th. Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira have been selected as the coaches to head a contingent of lightweights (155lbs) and light heavyweights (205lbs).
Both fighters are coming off recent victories, with Nogueira defeating Tim Sylvia, and Mir defeating Brock Lesnar. As expected, the heavyweights will match up to fight shortly after the completion of the series.
