Anderson Silva plans to retire at middleweight

Although Anderson Silva is not looking past his next fight against Chael Sonnen, he has been asked about fighting in other weight classes, even at Heavyweight.

Silva has encountered success at the light heavyweight division, with a victory over James Irvin and Forrest Griffin, but he ultimately says he is happy at middleweight and he intends to retire there. It doesn't mean that he will never consider other weight classes, just that he wants to finish his career at middleweight.

A potential fight with GSP has been rumoured, but Silva doesn't want to talk about that fight as he is focused on Sonnen right now.

Given Silva's lack lustre performance against Demian Maia, and Sonnen's firey words leading into this bout, we expect a good show between the two.
